Why was my card declined?

Unfortunately when the payment processing company declines a transaction on behalf of your bank or card issuer, it does not tell us why.

You will need to contact your bank or card issuer to find out the specific reason your card was declined, since they are the one declining the transaction, and not us.

Your card may have been declined by your bank or card issuer for a variety of reasons; common reasons include:

Your bank has aggressive fraud detection measures and is blocking the transaction.

Some banks and card issuers will block any transaction they feel is not normal for your spending habits.  This is usually based on what you have purchased in the past and what they expect you to purchase in the future.  You would need to contact your bank or card issuer and explain that you are trying to make a purchase and request they remove the block.

The card is for "domestic use only" or does not allow international transactions.

Some cards issued  are marked for "domestic use only" or something similar usually won't work because those types of cards are typically not connected to the international payment network and only work locally.  Some banks offer two cards; one that can only be used locally, and one that works worldwide.  Ask your bank or card issuer if your card can be used internationally for internet transactions.

Your card issuer or bank has disallowed internet transactions.

Although not typically seen on cards issued in the U.S., some foreign card issuers and banks disable internet transactions.  Contact your bank or card issuer to make sure you can use your card for internet purchases.  Sometimes all you need to do is request that it be enabled.  Other banks issue more than one card with different features and may ask you to upgrade to a different card type.

You are trying to pay with an unsupported card type.

We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. Some other card brands may work, since they may have an alliance with one of these major brands.  You can always try your card and see if it works. 

Your card issuer or bank may require a Card Verification Code (CVC).

Many credit card companies are now requiring the card verification code (CVC) found on the back of your card to be submitted with every transaction attempt. It is illegal for us to store this number, and the decision to require the CVC is made by the card issuer, not Opovoo. As a result, some cards will work the first time, but fail every subsequent time.

There are not enough funds available to process the transaction.

If you recently deposited funds to your debit or prepaid card, sometimes those funds are not available right away.  Likewise, if you recently made a payment to your credit card, your payment may not have been applied to your account yet. Also, if another merchant has placed a "hold" on your account, this may unexpectedly reduce your available balance. Contact your bank or card issuer, or log into your account on their website to check your balance.

Your card issuer or bank may require that you use "Verified by Visa" or "MasterCard Secure Code" to complete online sales.

Try MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa.

Some electronic cards may work, but others may not.

This will depend on the issuer of the card and whether our payment processing company supports that card type. Unfortunately not all electronic cards are supported.

Your bank or the payment processing company's network may be experiencing technical difficulties or be down for maintenance.

This does not happen very often, but it does happen from time to time, often when there are large numbers of transactions flowing through the system, such as during the holidays.  If the payment processing company cannot reach your bank to approve the transaction, they will typically decline the transaction in the bank's place.  In this case, the only thing to do is try again later when the system is back up.

These are only possible reasons why your card was declined.  Since the bank or card issuer did not tell us why, you will need to contact them for the reason your transaction failed.

Order Acceptance and Billing

By confirming your purchase at the end of the checkout process, you agree to accept and pay for the item or items ordered.

Please note also that local charges (such as currency conversion fees, credit or bank card fees, sales tax, customs duty etc.) may apply depending on where you live and local regulations. Such charges are at your expense and will not be refunded by us.

Please note that some banks do charge an extra overseas transaction fee. This fee is charged by the bank and will not be reimbursed by Opovoo. For more information, please contact your bank.

You must provide truthful and accurate billing information. Providing any untruthful or inaccurate information may result in order cancellation. Before we accept and process an order, we may also request that you provide additional information. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for any reason, including limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies, or errors in product or pricing information, or problems identified through our efforts to avoid fraud and/or account abuse.

We reserve the right to limit availability of, and/or to discontinue, any content, product, service, or other feature described or available on our site to any person, entity, geographic area, or jurisdiction, at any time and in our sole discretion, and to limit the quantities and/or cancel orders of any content, product, service, or other feature that we provide.

If your order is canceled after your credit card (or other payment account) has been charged, we will issue a credit to your credit card (or other applicable payment account) in the amount of the charge. We will contact you if all or any portion of your order is canceled or if additional information is required to accept your order. We may request a pre-authorization for some orders placed online with a credit or debit card. This pre-authorization will not be billed to you; however, your card issuer may hold this amount for a short period. Your card issuer determines the length of time the pre-authorization is held. We do this to ensure that the card details are still valid and that you have sufficient funds to complete the transaction.

If you do not provide requested information to verify your ID we will automatically cancel your order after 5 business days. The information you provide during this process is governed by our Privacy Policy. We won't share any document or personal details you provide with anybody. The information will be deleted after verification.

Taxes

You are responsible for paying all sales, use and other taxes, including any applicable duties, relating to any of your purchases of products or services from Opovoo through this site.

Orders - Purchase

Where is my order confirmation?

Once you have placed an order, you should receive an email confirmation to the email address you provided. If for some reason, you did not receive this email, please check your spam folder before contacting our customer service team.

Can you cancel my order?

We are unable to cancel orders once they have been sent to our warehouse for fulfillment. Please contact customer service by email at service@wtactful.com to see if your order is eligible for cancellation.

Why didn't I set a Tracking Code?

Standard shipping offers great low rate shipping, however, orders under $100 using standard shipping may not have a tracking code.

How many free items/giveaways can I order?

We have a limit of 1 promotional free items/giveaways per order.

Title to Products and Risk of Loss

The risk of loss and title for all products ordered on wtactful.com passes to the customer when the order has been delivered to the shipping carrier. We are not responsible for risk of loss and title for a product ordered from or to be delivered by one of our authorized partners or a third party distributor.>

Customers are responsible for filing any claims with common carriers for damaged or lost shipments of products. We reserve the right to ship the ordered products in multiple boxes or shipments.

In the event you are unable to reach a satisfactory agreement with the common carrier for lost or damaged products, please notify us at service@wtactful.com and we would be happy to discuss how we can help you resolve your issues with the common carrier.

Quantity Limits

In order to provide more consumers an enjoyable shopping experience on our site, or for any other reason, we reserve the right to limit quantities available for purchase. Quantity limits may be applied per order, per person or household, or to orders that use the same credit card, billing and/or shipping address, or share any other account or order attribute. We also reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to prohibit sales to dealers or resellers. For our purposes, "reselling" refers to purchasing or intending to purchase any product or products from us for the purpose of engaging in a commercial sale of the same with a third party.

Users who attempt to circumvent quantity limitations (e.g. by using multiple email addresses or accounts to order more than a stated limit or by placing multiple, excessive orders of the same product) may have orders denied and their accounts suspended from further activity. Any individual (based on credit card, email or billing address, or other attribute) who places more than 3 orders within 24 hours of an initial online product release will have those orders placed in our fraud queue for review. We will review orders in our fraud queue and may cancel multiple orders of the same item or items; your account may also be placed on suspension.

Pricing Information

We cannot confirm the price of an item until after you have placed your order. Pricing errors may occur on our sites. We reserve the right to cancel any orders containing pricing errors, with no further obligations to you, even after your receipt of an order confirmation or shipping notice from us. We may, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation. Pricing for products described or advertised on wtactful.com may differ from prices in other online or retail stores (as well as third party online and retail stores) or through mobile applications.

No purchases by minors

The shopping cart and checkout features of this site are intended to be used by persons who have reached the age of majority (18 in most U.S. states), according to the laws where they reside. If a minor orders a product or service through this site without parent or guardian permission, then the parent or guardian may return the product or service for a refund according to the returns and exchanges policy that relate to the order placed by their child.

Free promotional items

There is a limit of only one free item per order/customer. All additional orders will be canceled. There are no refunds or exchanges allowed on this free promotional item. Due to high demand of some of our most popular products, please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. For free promotion items always charge shipping, no Free Shipping coupons can be used for free promotional items.

Color Mismatch

Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, color samples may appear different on different monitors. Computer monitors are not all calibrated equally and color reproduction on the Internet is not precise. However, if you believe that the item received is in the wrong color, please contact us to see if a return or refund is possible. Please understand, returns/refunds are NOT available on any custom items!

Is your website secure?

Yes, our site is secure. On any page where we ask you to enter your address, phone number or credit card information, we use secure socket layer (SSL) to encrypt the communication. All payments are processed by Shopify/Stripe. Please note that we do NOT store credit/debit card numbers, nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

How secure is my personal information?

When you purchase from wtactful.com, you provide us with personal information such as your name, address, phone number, credit card information, email address, and an order. We keep a record of this information which is covered by our privacy policy and is held in the strictest of confidence. All information submitted via our website is secure and private. We also never store credit card data so you're even safer.

Is it safe to order online? How can I tell this site is secured?

Yes, it is completely safe to shop at wtactful.com with credit or debit card.

Your details are encrypted using 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption using Shopify's security partnership with Geotrust. Your card details are presented directly to our bank for clearance.

When you click the 'Proceed to secure checkout' button, you enter a 100% secure section of the site.

In the checkout, you will also see a locked padlock in the bottom (or top in some browsers) of your Web browser, showing that you are in the secure area.

Once your order has been processed securely online, we do not keep any record of your credit card details. We are happy to answer any question you have regarding online security.
